The Ginkgo prize is open for submissions of poetry which 'thematically, structurally, linguistically or formally investigate ecology, the environment, or the relationship between human culture and the natural world.' The prize intends to promote the role that poetry can play in increasing appreciation and respect for the natural environment.
The prize invites poets to submit their work by August the 15th. A list of terms and conditions can be found here. Winners will receive up to £5,000, a chance to read their work at Poetry in Aldeburgh, and a 10-day residency at Cill Rialaig Arts Centre in Ballinskelligs, Ireland.
You can submit to the prize here. Submission is £7 for your first poem and £4 for each subsequent one.
