We're delighted to be involved in the Wordpool Festival of Poetry's Illuminate Poetry Competition!
All are welcome to submit poems on the topic of 'illuminate'; we’re looking for a unique and inspiring poem, no more than 40 lines. The competition will be judged by Alice Kate Mullen from the Poetry Book Society. The first prize winner will be awarded £200 in cash and see their projected on the world famous Blackpool Tower in a specially commissioned poetry film.The entry fee is £4 for one poem, £7 for 2 poems, £10 for 3 poems.
Due to popular demand we’ve extended the deadline of Wordpool’s nationwide Poetry Competition to Monday 21st August 2017. Poets are invited to submit poems on the theme of illuminate - the poem will then be made into a poetry film and projected onto the Blackpool Tower building at a launch ceremony in the evening of 26 October 2017. The poetry film will then shine bright until the end of the Illumination Season.
