PUBLISHING IN TRANSLATION CONFERENCE
This week we're very sorry to say goodbye to our wonderful Translation Specialist Cristina who has done a brilliant job of showcasing the poetry in translation from across the globe in her Translation Thursday blogs on the PBS website. But don't worry, she leaves us with a brilliant parting gift - a whole day conference dedicated to translation which you're all welcome to attend. Join us for a day of panel events, workshops and networking bringing together publishers, literary translators, researchers and literature in translation fans on Saturday 30th November 2019 at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. Publishing in Translation has been co-ordinated by our sister company Inpress, the British Centre for Literary Translation, National Centre for Writing and UEA Publishing Project, as a knowledge and ideas sharing opportunity for all publishing and translation professionals and all those studying and researching our industry or generally interested in the topic. Confirmed speakers include Meena Kandasamy (keynote), publishers Istros Books and Strangers Press, translator Jen Calleja and poet Khairani Barokka. Tickets include refreshments, a networking lunch and a drinks reception.
