"Hallucinogenic, visceral and deeply felt, this collection hums with wit and intelligence as it considers and dissects a ruthless and uncomprehending abled world. These are formally dextrous, richly metaphored and musical poems. Gods and animals rise from the pages alongside humans like Frida Kahlo, Stephen Hawking, and indeed the poet herself "to meet the reader and demonstrate rage, suffering and glory."' Jacqueline Saphra
'Fit for Work announces the arrival of a fiercely original poetic voice - spirited, intelligent and able to create, in and from the toughest circumstances, work of intricacy, wit and beauty.' Sasha Dugdale
